With a prepaid private lesson package, you make a one-time payment for a certain number of hours that are valid for booking for a full year. These packages provide optimal freedom to customize your lessons in any subject and at any frequency you wish! 

With a subscription plan, you have access to a certain number of private lesson hours per month. For example, if you purchase a 4 hour/month subscription on April 5th, you'll have from April 5th through May 5th to use the 4 hours, and on May 5th you’ll receive 4 more to use through June 5th. Unused hours do not roll over to the next month, and your subscription will continue to renew monthly until such time as you choose to either update or cancel it.

You’ll have access to our teachers’ calendars to schedule ad hoc, or you can work with them to set up weekly recurring lessons.  
 

Prior to making a purchase, you’re welcome to create a student account, navigate to Book Lessons, and hit the Preview button – this will allow you to see which teachers are available when, so you know we’ve got the right teachers and times for you! 

If you’ve got experience in the subject, the instructor will engage you in casual, no-pressure conversation to determine which topics you can speak to confidently, which you can communicate with a little help and prompting, and which might be areas for improvement. 
 

If you’ve never studied the subject before, or if the instructor has already gauged your level, they’ll discuss your goals and preferred learning methods so the two of you can establish a study plan going forward. For the remainder of the first lesson time, the teacher will work with you on resources or topics suitable for your level, or if you’ve come with a specific learning aim in mind, they’ll be happy to work on it with you! 

You can stay with the same teacher, or work with as many as you'd like! The same goes for subjects: you can stay focused and study only the subject you choose at checkout, or you can explore our options and study as many subjects as you wish!
