We all want to live life in the present—but sometimes we need to talk about the past. German 3 is for those who are ready to build on their knowledge of the present and past tenses. You’ll also get an intro to the fun stuff: various forms of slang that’ll make you sound like a native.
Start here if you’ve already completed German 2 with us, or if you can confidently conjugate verbs in the present, future, and present perfect tenses, and use temporal prepositions with accusative and dative cases.
Everyday vocabulary. Simple past tense. Imperative. Comparatives and superlatives. Ordinal numbers. Introduction to subjunctive.
Talk about what you did over the weekend, your last trip, or holiday. Talk about your future plans and wishes. Talk to a doctor. Discuss the weather. Give advice to your German-speaking friends
From day one, you’ll be engaging in conversation with your instructor and your classmates. This will prepare you to feel confident and comfortable when speaking with natives.
