Alright, we know you can introduce yourself and make a damn good impression in Mandarin. In Chinese 2, we’ll teach you how to take the conversation further. This class is for you if you're familiar with pinyin basics, tones/pronunciation, and can say simple sentences.
Start here if you’ve already completed Chinese 1 with us, or if you’ve studied Chinese before and can confidently read and write pinyin, know word order, distinguish tones, and form questions. You should also be able to use numbers in dates and times, and know how to use 吗， 呢，的，也，个，吧，& 了
Everyday vocabulary. Modal verbs, prepositions, adverbs for negation. Quantity and time.
Make appointments. Use Chinese phone etiquette. Talk about your job and daily routine. Go shopping. Ask about transportation.
From day one, you’ll be engaging in conversation with your instructor and your classmates. This will prepare you to feel confident and comfortable when speaking with natives.
