Can you introduce yourself and make a great first impression in Mandarin?
Beginner Chinese 2 is for you if you're familiar with pinyin basics, tones/pronunciation, and can say simple sentences.
Start here if you've already completed Chinese 1 with us, or if you've studied Chinese before and can confidently read and write pinyin, know word order, distinguish tones, and form questions. You should also be able to use numbers in dates and times, and know how to use 吗， 呢，的，也，个，吧，& 了

With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you'll have an opportunity to engage in conversational Chinese with other language learners with realtime feedback from the instructor.
By the end of our level two course, you'll be able to make appointments, use Chinese phone etiquette, talk about your job and daily routine, go shopping, and ask about transportation.

All of our group classes meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. Some courses meet 2 hours once a week for a total of 10 sessions, while others meet 1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions.
We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we don't hold classes on Federal holidays.
Plans change - we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your group course to make any cancelations or transfers. After that, we unfortunately cannot offer any refunds.
If you feel your level isn't the right fit, reach out to [email protected] before your second class and we will transfer you to a better fit, free of charge!

As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
