By the end, you'll have the foundation to conjugate verbs and hold crucial conversations, such as ordering food and placing purchases.

With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you and other language learners will engage in conversational Spanish with realtime feedback from the instructor.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to conjugate verbs in the present tense, hold basic conversations, go shopping in Spanish, and make future plans with people.

With a passion for world languages and a wealth of experience living in diverse cultures like France, Argentina, and Mexico, Othman is eager to share his knowledge with students. His background includes earning an MBA in both France and Argentina, and working with major American companies such as Apple, Ford Motor Company, and Groupon as a trainer and manager. With over 100 satisfied students (Corporate, Adults, Kids), Othman brings a rigorous and effective approach to language instruction. Let's unlock the world of French and Spanish together!

Paola has been a language teacher since she completed her Bachelor's degrees in Languages and Sociocultural Studies, and in Political Science, in 2005. Originally from Colombia, Paola grew up in two different countries (Colombia and Brasil) where she got in-depth knowledge, not only of the languages spoken there (Spanish and Portuguese) but also their cultures and way of living. On top of that, she graduated from a French high school where she learned the French language and culture. She has been living in the US since 2007 where she has consistently worked as a language instructor of both Spanish and Portuguese and translator. She recently finished her Master's degree in Conflict Resolution and Peace and plans on doing a Ph.D. within that field in a few years.
Paola makes class fun - she is engaging and creative while also having a superb mastery of the language
Jonathan double-majored in French and Spanish from Grinnell College. He grew up in Mexico and worked in France for a couple of years. His approach to teaching students includes mixing grammatical concepts with more repetitive activities, in order to allow students to develop at their own pace. Outside of work, he enjoys playing video games, especially those that include multilingual features, such as Diablo VI and Horizon.
Jonathan is attentive, friendly yet stays on topic, patient, and comes up with exciting fulsome class plans and activities.
Amanda started teaching in 2020 and has been trilingual her entire life, fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She likes to get to know her students well and bring their hobbies into class to make learning languages more interesting and personal to them. Amanda has experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, and she can't wait to meet you!
I told Amanda that I love to cook, and she made sure to teach me all the verbs, ingredient names, types of dishes native to Brazil - so thoughtful!

We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we don't hold classes on federal holidays.
Our online group courses meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. We have weekly classes (2 hours once a week for 10 sessions) and biweekly classes (1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions).
Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your group course to make any cancelations. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstances.
Only students 18 years or older can participate in this course. If you are looking for options for students under 18, please check out our Kids and Teens page!
As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
