Start here if you've never studied French before or if you've taken a decade off and need a refresher.

You'll learn the necessary foundation for fluency, such as introducing yourself, describing your likes and dislikes, and talking about your friends and hobbies.

With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you'll have an opportunity to engage in conversational French with other language learners with realtime feedback from the instructor.

By the end of our level one course, you’ll have the foundation to conjugate verbs in the present tense and be able to hold basic conversations, order food when dining out, or go shopping in French.

Fluent City is a great way to learn a language. The class structure is easy to follow and manageable. Sign up if you're on the fence, it's worth it!

Jeremiah is a music & vocal coach turned French professor

About the Teacher

Jeremiah has studied French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, piano, and musical composition. He has taught music since 2005 and French since 2009. Jeremiah says one of the biggest challenges with French is pronunciation, as it uses sounds that many of us have little practice making. This is where he believes his history with music and vocal work comes in handy—in teaching people a new language he is essentially teaching them to turn new noises into communication!

What students are saying
Very involved, organized and thorough. I also find the tips he gives us for learning outside the class very helpful
