Each class meets at the same time for 10 weeks - creating consistency in your language learning.
We believe in hands-on learning, rather than getting lost in a textbook or sucked into perfection of grammar.
We exclusively hire instructors with a conversation-based and student-centered approach to teaching, providing the best in-class experience.
Speaking is at the heart of all of our classes, and in an immersive setting, you’ll get even more opportunity to practice critical speaking and listening skills.
This course is customized based on each student's needs, interests, and preferences. On the first class your teacher will inquire about your interests in order to tailor their curriculum for the entire course.
Start here if you've already completed Level 5 with us or have otherwise achieved a B2 level of proficiency on the CEFR scale.
Class discussions will encompass a wide range of grammatical structures and vocabulary and will have time dedicated for each student to talk about what they want! If you can interact with native French speakers with a degree of fluency and spontaneity and without too much strain, this class is a great place to start.
This course is all about real-world content; from YouTube videos to advanced literature, from newspaper articles to french cinema. Walk away with the tools you need to speak fearlessly in any situation.
We love questions, almost as much as we love providing answers. Here are a few samplings of what we're typically asked, along with our responses
We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we do not hold classes on holidays. The full list of our skip dates is New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and a holiday break between Christmas and New Years.
Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your Group Course to make any cancelations or same-level transfers. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstance. During the first 2 weeks of class, however, if you feel your level isn't the right fit, reach out to [email protected], and we will transfer you to a better fit, free of charge!
Most students do miss a class, or two, and we’re here to help ensure that you won’t fall behind despite any missed classes. We’ve set up our curriculum to make lessons easy to follow along outside of class, and your teacher will reach out to your group each week with a summary of materials, topics, and homework covered in-class.
All of our group classes meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. Some courses meet 2 hours once a week for 10 sessions, while others meet 1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions.
As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
