Fonda Chilena

Party Hopping For The Cultural Omnivore

In celebration of Chile Week, we've teamed up with legendary event producer Adam Aleksander and friends to bring you a night of Chilean revelry. You’re cordially invited to enter into our imaginarium: a ‘choose your own adventure’ party for the culturally curious…

We'll be listing future classes soon, join the waitlist now!

Here's what to expect

On October 28th, as the street lamps flicker to life, you’ll journey through the gilded halls of Lord & Taylor and step inside a magical elevator with an unexpected destination… Enter our secret rooftop villa… a winding and mysterious maze of rooms for you to explore. Each space will represent a different city, offering activities to help you lose yourself in another world. Here, you will dive into Chilean culture and make something, do something, participate, learn to dance, drink, etc, etc. The best part is that we are partnering with a wonderful charity, The Lonely Whale Foundation, and every dollar of your ticket purchase will be going directly to them!

How will you spend your night? Will you…

  • Drink alongside poet Pablo Neruda in a Valparaiso Hotel (hosted by the Bowery Poetry Club and The Haiku Guys & Gals)

  • Study the art of empanada-making at a street cart in Los Vilos

  • Learn the courtship of the Cueca Dance on the La Tirana dance floor

  • Learn to mix Pisco cocktails like a pro in Valle del Elqui (hosted by Fluent City)

  • Taste through Chilean Wine in a warm vinoteca (hosted by Wines of Chile)

  • Indulge in our authentic Chilean catering (come hungry...)

  • Jump in and paint a massive 20' marinelife mural for the Lonely Whale Foundation

  • Document the frivolity of your night in our greenscreen photo booth

  • Or dance to the DJ’s boombox beat as the Piscola-fueled dance floor heats up the night

  • Tickets are $75 all included

  • All proceeds from the event will benefit the Lonely Whale Foundation in their mission to help preserve the health, wellbeing, and sustainability of the ocean through education.

  • Doors open at 8:00pm. Event closes at 12:00am.

  • Event is open to 21+ only. IDs will be checked at the door.

  • Attire: This is a semi-formal event.

Bring the most vibrant and colorful version of yourself. (Literally... Wear all of your colorful clothing all at once.) The fonda and its proud inhabitants are just an elevator ride away...
