Start here if you've already completed Spanish 1 with us, or if you've studied Spanish before and can confidently conjugate verbs in the present tense while speaking.
Talk about preferences, responsibilities, and obligations. Use reflexive verbs to describe routing. Use direct object pronouns, imperative to make commands, and start using the preterite tense to talk about past events. View the full curriculum here.
With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you'll have an opportunity to engage in conversational Spanish with other language learners with realtime feedback from the instructor.
Ask someone out on a date. Order drinks at a bar and chat up the bartender. Explain common pains to a doctor. Make requests. Talk about how you spent your last holiday. Explain your daily routine.

Jonathan double-majored in French and Spanish from Grinnell College. He grew up in Mexico and worked in France for a couple of years. His approach to teaching students includes mixing grammatical concepts with more repetitive activities, in order to allow students to develop at their own pace. We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we do not hold classes on Federal holidays.
Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your group course to make any cancelations. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstances.
Our online group courses meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. We have weekly classes (2 hours once a week for 10 sessions) and biweekly classes (1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions).
Only students 18 years or older can participate in this course. If you are looking for options for students under 18, please check out our Kids and Teens page!
As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
