All right, we know you can introduce yourself and make a good impression. In Hebrew 2, we’ll teach you how to take the conversation further and use your skills to order the best dish on the menu or book tickets to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem you’ve been dreaming about.
Each class meets at the same time for 10 weeks - creating consistency in your language learning.
We believe in hands-on learning, rather than getting lost in a textbook or sucked into perfection of grammar.
We exclusively hire instructors with a conversation based and student-centered approach to teaching, providing the best in-class experience.
Speaking is at the heart of all of our classes, and in an immersive setting, you’ll get even more opportunity to practice critical speaking and listening skills.
Step 1
Start here if you've already completed Hebrew 1 with us, or if you've studied Hebrew before and can confidently read and write Hebrew, conjugate singular verbs in the present and past tenses, and can introduce yourself. You should also be comfortable using possessives, prepositions, counting from 1-10, and utilizing noun and adjective agreement.
Step 2
Everyday vocabulary. Verb conjugation in present, past, and future tenses. Modal verbs. Numbers 11-100. Adverbs of frequency. How to use את. Times and dates.
Step 3
Talk about what you did over the weekend. Make future plans with your Hebrew-speaking friends. Express how you feel. Order food when dining out.
Step 4
From day one, you'll be engaging in conversation with your instructor and your classmates. This will prepare you to feel confident and comfortable when speaking with natives.
We love questions, almost as much as we love providing answers. Here are a few samplings of what we're typically asked, along with our responses
We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we don't hold classes on Federal holidays.
Most students do miss a class, or two, and we’re here to help ensure that you won’t fall behind despite any missed classes. We’ve set up our curriculum to make lessons easy to follow along outside of class, and your teacher will reach out to your group each week with a summary of materials, topics, and homework covered in-class.
All of our group classes meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. Some courses meet 2 hours once a week for a total of 10 sessions, while others meet 1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions.
Only students 18 years or older can participate in this course. If you are looking for options for students under 18, please check out our Kids and Teens page!
As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your Group Course to make any cancelations or same-level transfers. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstance. During the first 2 weeks of class, however, if you feel your level isn't the right fit, reach out to [email protected], and we will transfer you to a better fit, free of charge!
