Hebrew

We teach old school Hebrew classes in an awesome and refreshing new school way.

Hebrew Level 1

Level 1 is for beginners who are ready to be introduced to the Hebrew alphabet!

In Level 1, we teach you the basics of the alphabet, studying each letter individually, and then help you construct some simple words and phrases in Hebrew using those letters such as: “Hello, how are you? My name is Simon. I live in Brooklyn. Nice to meet you. See you later!”The focus at Fluent City is on spoken language, so if you have experience with the Hebrew alphabet but can’t say who you are, where you live, where you went to school, what you like to do, how many siblings you have, and whether they're older or younger, than Level 1 is a good fit for you.

We've emailed you info and will let you know when we schedule new classes. Meanwhile, request Private Lessons.

Hebrew Level 2

Take this class if you are familiar with most letters in the alphabet, can read most words aloud, and can tell someone about yourself in Hebrew.

You are a good fit for level 2 if you can respond to questions with answers such as: ANI GAR BE'BROOKLYN, ANI OHEV KAFE, RAI'T AT HA'SERET HA'CHADASH SHEL TARANTINO? Can you answer the question YESH LECHA CHATULIM? Do you understand the difference between ANI OHEVET MUZIKA and ANI OHEVET ET PARIS? If so, then you're good to go for Level 2.

Hebrew Level 3

Sign up for a Level 3 class if you are confident when having a simple conversation.

Level 3 is for those who can discuss most basic first form (PAAL) and second form (PIEL) verbs in all times, genders and plurals. Can you tell the time, what date it is or how many times you've been to Oklahoma? Can you order a cup of black coffee with sugar and politely ask if you can pay with a credit card? Can you talk about things you ate, places you've been and things you were? Do you understand and can explain the difference between HAYITI BAYIT and HAYA LI BAYIT? And if it was a DIRA instead of a BAYIT? If so, Level 3 is right for you.
