Italian Workshops

Italian Slang in Williamsburg, $35

In all Fluent City Italian classes, we teach you the Italian that you'll actually hear on the streets as opposed to what textbooks and other schools will teach you simply because that's the official and grammatically correct way of saying it. If we didn't, even those of you who become conversational wouldn't be able to turn on tv and watch modern talk shows,  listen to popular music, or read celebrity gossip magazines in Italian.

In this workshop, a full 2 hours is devoted to helping you understand what slang is, why it is so common in every day speech, how to approach the major concepts of slang usage, and tons of specific words and phrases that will make you sound like real Roman instead of a boring, fancy, academic American trying to speak Italian too properly for your own good!

All levels welcome, including beginners, as this workshop is taught in English.

Bridge to Italian Level 2, $40

May 31, 2013 7:00-9:30pm

This workshop is held in Williamsburg. Not quite ready for Level 2, but want to avoid restarting with Level 1? Take this two and a half hour workshop, were we'll review and help you solidify all the material from Level 1. This is perfect for those who want a little more time reviewing all of the concepts from Level 1 if you were learning them for the first time or for those who definitely don't need to start from the beginning, but need a refresher of all the basics before restarting your Italian learning career with Level 2.
