Victoria, 27 years old, grew up in the south of France. She studied Business and Marketing and worked in Paris for several years before moving to NYC 4 years ago. She taught French in a small language school in Manhattan before joining FluentBrooklyn.
When she moved to the U.S, she had to learn a new language and this experience sparked her interest in the science of linguistics and the similarities and differences between languages. Any student of hers will experience a similar revelation as their skills rapidly develop! That’s also why she understands the initial nervousness that comes with attempting to speak another language and she always makes her students feels completely comfortable with pronunciation and participation and always makes sure that everybody is having fun in her class.
Having moved recently to New York from France, she has a very genuine and deep understanding of modern French culture. If you truly want to know “what the kids are saying these days”, then her perspective will definitely help. Beyond that, she has always been very concerned about the sociological aspect of French society and its current issues. Using multimedia such as film, television, and music in her classes, she will give you a unique insight on her country because she knows that understanding the French mentality and history is a huge aid in the language learning process.
