Join Fluent City and Cook&Go for a special French cooking class taught in French on Monday, February 25th at 6:30pm!
Former Fluent City Professor Willy is better known in the NYC culinary community as Chef Wilson Johnson and now heads cooking studio Cook&Go. On Monday, February 25th join Chef Willy for a 6:30 introduction to French Bistro Cooking – taught in French!
**The workshop will be taught in French. The workshop is recommended for Level 3 and above students, but Level 2 students are welcome to participate as well. The workshop will be too advanced for a Level 1 French student.
What You Will Learn: Participants will prepare an appetizer, main dish and dessert.
To start, you will prepare an artichoke veloute topped with a cumin Chantilly cream aside a sun-dried tomato, mozzarella and olive tartine. For the main course, you will prepare a red wine and beef parmentier, which is the French version of a shepherd’s pie. The delicious main will be prepared with a fresh mesclun salad. Dessert will be a cherry clafoutis flan. The best part of Cook&Go is that the food is then packed away for you to take home and enjoy in the comfort of your living room.
What’s Included: The workshop includes all cooking materials, instruction and containers with takeaway portions including final instructions of how to finish properly heating the dishes when you are ready to serve the meal.
